The White-winged Vampire Bat (Diaemus youngi). This rarer species prefers avian (bird) blood to mammalian blood. It is interesting to note that, unlike other predators that kill and consume their prey, the vampire's prey usually survive the encounter. (Trinibats).

This small bat was roosting in the daytime under a folded (broken) leaf of a wife leaved plant. It was brown with white stripes on its face. Not sure on the identification.

"The Common Tent-Making Bat (Uroderma bilobatum) is known for its ability to modify the large leaves of several species of canopy and understory trees, including palms, heliconias and anthuriums into ""tents"" that the bats use to safely roost during the daylight hours. Tent bats are fruit eaters, and important dispersers of fig seeds in the forests of Trinidad. Photo: Stephen Davison (Trinibats)"
