Date: 5 September 2012, 03:52:20. Summary[edit] Description: English: The red-legged golden orb-weaver spider (Nephila inaurata) is a large spider from the family Nephilidae. This species is widespread throughout tropical islands of the Indian Ocean. These photos illustrate Nephila inaurata females which are common in natural and disturbed habitats of Seychelles. These spiders feed on various insects. Their large webs are located between trees and bushes. Several webs can be situated close to each other, forming a kind of spider colony. Mahe Island, Anse Forbans, January 2020.
