Summary[edit] Description: The cap color, star-like annulus, smooth stalk are characteristic. Found these growing on mulch in an office park June 15, 2007 Update November 01, 2007. Found a group of these mushrooms at the different location. The interesting thing is that caps on these were of straw color, however all other features matched perfectly. Don't rely on color when identifying mushrooms. Fried a few younger mushrooms. They have exact smell and taste of fried potatoes!. Date: 17 June 2007, 20:07.
