Found in a secondary small channel of the Ventura River. Two were observed, this one missing a claw and another in the same area.

Not sure which species are here. These were all over the refuge, so it's probably the common, edible one.

Today, I went to Lee Elementary School in Coppell to talk about aquatic systems. Wanted to catch some show-and-tell, so I went by this little creek to find frogs or snakes or whatever. :) This little crawfish was specimen #2 that I brought to the school. :)
