I got the privilege to go out on a boat to do an American Oystercatcher survey with Dr. Susan Heath of the Gulf Coast Bird Observatory on Tuesday morning. It started out a nice calm day and then it got windy and really bumpy. Saw lots of AMOY and I took more than a few photos.

These two American Oystercatchers were banded by Dr. Sue Heath somewhere in the Galveston area. I will post the banding info here when I get it.

I got the privilege to go out on a research trip with Dr. Susan Heath of Gulf Coast Bird Observatory to monitoring nesting of American Oystercatchers. The boat ride was rather bumpy, but a great day to be outdoors and see wildlife on west Galveston Bay.
