Die Geelstreep-bokvis (Mulloidichthys flavolineatus) is 'n vis wat voorkom in die Indiese-Pasifiese area, die Rooisee en aan die ooskus van Afrika vanaf Oman tot by Knysna. In Engels staan die vis bekend as die Yellowstripe goatfish.

Voorkoms

Die vis se lyf het een tot twee horisontale geelstrepe met 'n swart kol op die geelstreep onder die dorsale vin. Al die vinne is witterig maar die stertvin is geel. Die vis word 40 cm groot.

Habitat

Die vis leef in koraalriwwe en by naburige sand areas tot in water wat 60 m diep is. Hulle vreet snags en wel klein skaaldiere. Die vis word gereeld by Sodwanabaai in groot skole gesien.

This occasionally schooling species inhabits shallow sandy flats to a depth of 35 m or more. Feeds on crustaceans, molluscs, worms, heart urchins and foraminiferans. Juveniles taken by pole and line; adults by net, trap, pole and line, and spear. Consumed fresh or dried.
