Polygonum cedrorum is the commonest polygonum species in the heights of Mt Hermon. It has typical pink flowers and prominent veins in the lower side of the leaf (u can see this in this pic). It grows in dolines (mt valleys) and roadsides.

Polygonum cognatum is a weedy creeping perennial. It has distinct large leaves (compared with other polygonums). In Isrtael it is extremely rare, reaching its southern point.
